I got the Nikon TC-14E specially for my Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR and 300mm f/4 about a month ago. It extends my 70-200mm to 98-280mm with a trade off of losing 1-stop. If used in DX mode on my Nikon D700, it effectively becomes a 120-420mm.
Everyone knows how to focus static subject. You can manually set the focus using the focus ring or you can auto focus by half pressing the shutter button. Once focus is locked take the shot by fully pressing the shutter button.
