It is always a pleasure to be summoned to a Christchurch wedding. While I am based in Wellington, I have lived in Christchurch previously and have a second base there, so I am always excited to travel to Christchurch for weddings. The lovely couple Emmie and Kelvin have moved to Auckland from Christchurch in recent time, but came back to get marry at Rosendale Vineyard, Christchurch where their families and friends, some travelled a far gathered to celebrate this important day.
The groom’s getting ready was full of laughter and Kelvin was definitely not short of helping hands. The bride’s getting ready was at the Hope Villa – a romantic and private boutique location for the girls to relax and prepare for the big day.
A highlight on the day has to be Emmie and Kelvin’s surprise after the ceremony. They have arranged Mr Whippy to come to the vineyard to serve everyone’s their favourite ice-cream. Everyone started to smile when they hear the ice-cream van coming.
