Canon just announced its the new EOS 100D and 700D. Both have a similar specification, offering 18MP, DIGIC 5 processor, 9AF cross type, ISO100-12,800, 1080p HD video and 3” 1.04M dot LCD. The FPS is slightly faster with the 700D at 5 fps whereas the 100D offers 4 fps which is still a lot for an entry level DSLR.

I guess the most interesting aspect of the announcement is the size of the 100D. It claims to be the world smallest DSLR, weighting only 350g and it is 30% smaller than a standard DSLR. The darker shade is the size of the EOS 100D compares to the 700D.
