At the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2012 (9th  -12th Feb), Kenko Tokina will be showing a mock-up of its newest full-frame lens, the Tokina AT-X PRO SD 70-200mm f/4 (IF) FX (Tokina announcement) . In additional to that, the Tokina SD 11-16mm f/2.8 (IF) DX II will also be there. With Tokina’s build quality history, you can expect these lenses will be of  high-quality built lenses. The good news is that you can get these lenses for your Canon, Nikon or Sony mount.

Currently, only Canon makes the 70-200mm f/4 model, so Nikon and Sony shooters will be very happy to hear the introduction of  the Tokina SD 70-200mm f/4. This lens will feature both ultrasonic AF motor and built in Image Stabilisation which put Tokina on par with Canon in terms of technology used in this lens. But of cause we will have to wait for see its optical performance.

With this announcement, Nikon will probably be thinking about having their own Nikon 70-200m f/4 VRII announced soon. Yes, we have heard rumours about it already.
